President Mahama Extends Aid to Jamaica and Sudan

In a powerful display of solidarity and South–South cooperation, Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has extended humanitarian aid to the people of Jamaica and Sudan. This act of compassion, launched on November 7, 2025, demonstrates Ghana’s commitment to global humanitarianism, bridging the Caribbean and Africa through shared resilience in the face of crisis. As reported by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and several media outlets, the relief package valued at approximately GH₵10 million was aimed at supporting victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica and those displaced by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. More than a charitable act, this move underscores Ghana’s growing role in international migration and humanitarian diplomacy.
