Ghana Embassy in Qatar Arranges Assisted Road Departures for Nationals

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Qatar has announced plans to facilitate assisted road departures for Ghanaian nationals currently residing in Qatar who wish to leave the country. In a public update issued on March 8, 2026, the embassy stated that it is putting in place logistical measures to support citizens seeking to exit Qatar through overland routes. The announcement follows an earlier advisory released by the mission on March 6, which informed the Ghanaian community about possible assistance for those considering departure. According to the embassy, the decision forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and welfare of Ghanaian nationals abroad, particularly those who may urgently wish to travel out of the country.
